With great aspirations, Je’Von Evans, formerly known as Jay Malachi in various wrestling promotions, joined WWE at the beginning of 2024. He ultimately made his in-ring debut on NXT TV, displaying his talent and resolve, after gaining popularity on NXT Level Up.

In a much-awaited singles bout, Je’Von Evans made his debut against SCRYPTS on the April 9 episode of NXT TV. Evans won by showcasing his abilities and leaving a powerful impression on the NXT roster.

Following his triumphant debut, Je’Von Evans expressed his joy in a post-match interview that was shown on NXT Digital Exclusive. Speaking with a proud tone, he declared,

“I won’t lie, your boy is the real deal. On my first night, I already received a W. Now hurry up. I won’t lie now—I’m prepared for a celebration. However, I just wanted to let you and NXT know that, guess what?

On NXT, your lad is 1-0. I’m going to keep going until your boy is in the lead and ready to be that guy—you know, the top guy—and the next time I pull up, I’ll be 2-0, 3-0, and 4-0. I have to go to a party, I’m going to have a great time.
