John Cena’s Oscars Costume Revelation: Not As Naked As Perceived

John Cena didnt promote nudity at the Oscars: He was not that naked

It seems like John Cena managed to grab everyone’s attention at the Oscars with his streaker moment! It’s interesting to hear that he wasn’t actually as naked as initially perceived by the audience.

John Cena, showcasing his muscular physique, sported nude briefs during his Best Costume presentation. Sunrise revealed backstage snapshots revealing Cena’s strategic attire, sparking discussions with reporter Mylee Hogan.

“This is what he was actually wearing behind that envelope — kind of a brief, of sorts,” Hogan said.

“A nude brief without any sides on it.

“It was a very weird costume design. It was very clever costume design, which is very fitting seeing as he was announcing the award for costumes, after all.”

Cena undoubtedly captured the spotlight with his risqué onstage skit at the awards.

Before presenting the award, Cena humorously poked his head out from backstage, informing host Jimmy Kimmel of his reluctance to proceed with the “streaker” bit.

The concept of “doing the bit” originated from the 46th Academy Awards in 1974, where a naked man streaked behind the broadcast. This year commemorates the 50th anniversary of that controversial Oscars incident, occurring as actor David Niven was introducing the iconic Elizabeth Taylor.

“Psst, Jimmy … I’ve changed my mind,” Cena said.

“I don’t want to do the streaker bit anymore … it’s an elegant event.”

“It’s supposed to be funny!” Kimmel responded, trying to encourage him to make the run.

“Fine, just give out the award then,” the host said, handing Cena a card with “Best Costume Design” written across it.

Using the card to shield his modesty, Cena left little to the imagination, prompting laughter from Aussie actress Margot Robbie, who hilariously covered her face in response.

Taking to the microphone, Cena uttered,

“Costumes … they are so important”.

“Maybe the most important thing there is.”

“I can’t open the envelope,” he said, before host Kimmel strode back out on stage to read out the nominees.

The moment was adored by fans and quickly became a viral sensation on social media after its broadcast.
