Josh Allen is dedicating his off-season to quality time with Hailee Steinfeld.
On Sunday, the 27-year-old Buffalo Bills quarterback was seen in Laguna Niguel, California, with 27-year-old Hawkeye actress Hailee Steinfeld. This follows a week after the conclusion of the Bills’ season with a 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Their romantic connection first surfaced in May 2023 when they were observed together in New York City. A source confirmed to PEOPLE that they had been “hanging out for a few weeks” and characterized them as a “cute couple.”
“It’s new, but they are having fun,” the source added.
Despite maintaining privacy, Josh Allen briefly touched on his relationship with Hailee Steinfeld in August during the Pardon My Take podcast, expressing surprise at the continued interest, stating, “The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind.”
In October, Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld made their first public appearance at the Buffalo Sabres’ season-opener against the New York Rangers. Despite stepping into the public eye, Allen shared with PEOPLE in the same month that he endeavors “to stay under the radar.”
“Hopefully, if there’s no ailments, I can just go home after that and turn on a few movies at the house, cook a home-cooked meal, and call it a night,” he told about how he likes to wind down after a big game.
During that period, Josh Allen spoke about his ad and collaboration with Cash App, acknowledging that being in front of the camera is “kind of challenging.”
“I think its fun for me to have a little bit of a challenge in that way instead of just sitting there and taking a photo or something. I put on the acting skills and just try to do it. It’s fun, but I like to stick to football,” he said.
Earlier this month, Hailee Steinfeld attended the 2024 Golden Globes to show support for “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” where she lends her voice to the character Gwen Stacy. The film was nominated for Best Motion Picture – Animated, a role Steinfeld expressed excitement about in a previous interview.
“Being a part of something that resonates with people of all ages, especially young people, is always so exciting to me,” she told in June 2023. “This is a film I wish I had when I was younger. There’s so much heart in this character and in this story.”
