Jung Yu Mi in Discussions to Join Joo Ji Hoon in New Romance Drama by ‘Love In The Moonlight’ Writer

Jung Yu Mi and Joo Ji Hoon Consider Lead Roles

Jung Yu Mi and Joo Ji Hoon are in talks to co-star in an upcoming romance drama, as reported by Sports DongA on February 21. According to the report, the two actors have been selected as the main leads for this anticipated project.

Responding to the news, Jung Yu Mi’s agency, Management SOOP, stated, “[Jung Yu Mi] received an offer to star in the drama and is positively reviewing the offer.” This suggests that the actress is considering the role, and her potential involvement is pending further review.

In January, Joo Ji Hoon’s agency, H& Entertainment, acknowledged that the drama was one of the projects under consideration by the actor. The agency reiterated, “As previously mentioned in January, it is one of the projects [Joo Ji Hoon] has received an offer for and is currently reviewing.”

The drama, initially titled “Love on a Single Log Bridge” (literal title), is reportedly undergoing discussions for a potential title change. However, no final decision has been made regarding this matter.

The plot of the romance drama revolves around a man and a woman who were deeply in love during their school days but had to part ways due to family enmity and unexpected circumstances.

The two reunite after 15 years, leading to a tale of rediscovered love. Notably, the series will be penned by writer Im Ye Jin, known for her work on “Love in the Moonlight” and “The Tale of Nokdu,” while producing director Park Joon Hwa, renowned for projects like “Because This Is My First Life,” “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” and “Alchemy of Souls,” will be at the helm.

For Jung Yu Mi, this potential drama marks her comeback to the small screen after a hiatus of four years since her appearance in Netflix’s “The School Nurse Files” in 2020.

If Joo Ji Hoon accepts the casting offer, it will be his first foray into a romance drama in 18 years, following MBC’s “Princess Hours.” Currently, Joo Ji Hoon is also preparing for the release of his Netflix series “The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call” and the Disney+ series “Light Shop.”

Fans are eagerly anticipating further updates on this exciting collaboration between Jung Yu Mi and Joo Ji Hoon in the upcoming romance drama. Stay tuned for more developments!
