In the previous chapter Kagurabachi got Chihiro and Shiba ready to fight the Tou. They’re known as the toughest four members of the Sazanami clan. The chapter ended with an exciting cliffhanger, leaving fans eager for chapter 24.

Kyora Sazanami talks to Chihiro. He says he’s not using his magic to fight. Instead of saying where Shinuchi is, Kyora gets curious about the seventh Sacred Blade.

It’s also shown that Kyora knows Chihiro’s name and that he’s Kunishige Rokuhira’s son. Shiba feels uneasy about Kyora’s strangely calm attitude. He remembers Hakuri’s warning to him and Chihiro about the Tou, the four toughest fighters in Sazanami.

Their main job is to protect Kyora Sazanami. But Shiba notices that Kyora hasn’t asked them to help yet. During their conversation, Chihiro spots the Shinuchi blade close by.

Excited, he reaches for it, but Kyora explains that what he sees is just a magic image of the real storehouse. Kyora says the actual storehouse is hidden inside him, using his powers to create and control it.

Kyora tells them it’s a special place made by his magic powers. He explains that this power is handed down through the leaders of the Sazanami clan. So, only he can control this place.

Shiba understands that he can’t just force his way in because Kyora could easily destroy everything inside, even the people trapped there. Knowing he can’t beat someone with a Sacred Blade, Kyora reveals his big secret weapon

As a smart strategist, Kyora knows Chihiro and Shiba won’t risk lives. Shiba remembers Hakuri is also a Sazanami, so he can mess with the storehouse too. But then he remembers Hakuri got kicked out of the family for not being skilled enough.

So, he tells Chihiro they should leave. Just then, the Tou shows up to face Chihiro and Shiba. The fourth member of the Tou, Soya, goes to find Hakuri. Shiba suddenly remembers that Hakuri is alone and unprotected at their hideout.

The scene changes to Hakuri, who was sent on an errand by Hinao. Chapter 23 of Kagurabachi ends with Hakuri meeting his brother Soya, who is happy to see him.

Expectation

In the next Kagurabachi chapter, we might see Chihiro and Shiba teaming up against the Tou. But the fight might not finish for a specific reason in the story. Chihiro might make a way for Shiba to escape, giving them a chance to get away.

We could find out more about Soya’s relationship with Hakuri. Even though Soya appears glad to see his brother, he might have a bit of a wild personality. So, it will be interesting to see what happens to Hakuri in the upcoming chapter.
