Kagurabachi, the manga sensation from Mangaka Takeru Hokazono, has taken the manga world by storm. Even though it hasn’t been turned into an anime yet, it’s making waves. Created in 2023, the story revolves around revenge and has captured a lot of attention.

The sales for Kagurabachi are impressive, especially considering it’s been less than a year since its debut. According to Shoseki, a website that tracks book sales in Japan, the first volume of Kagurabachi has sold 46,380 copies. That’s a pretty impressive start for a new manga.

In a recent interview, Takuro Imamura, the editor of Kagurabachi, talked about how surprised they were by the manga’s popularity. He mentioned that they’re hoping to keep up the momentum both in Japan and internationally.

They’re even thinking about turning Kagurabachi into an anime eventually. Imamura expressed gratitude for the manga’s reception and hopes that fans will continue to enjoy it.

For those who haven’t delved into the world of Kagurabachi yet, here’s a brief overview. Shonen Jump describes it as follows:

“Young Chihiro spends his days training under his famous swordsmith father. One day he hopes to become a great sword-maker himself.  The goofy father and the serious son–they thought these days would last forever. But suddenly, tragedy strikes. A dark day soaked in blood. Chihiro and his blade now live only for revenge.”

It’s clear that Kagurabachi has struck a chord with readers, both in Japan and around the world. With its gripping story and strong characters, it’s no wonder that it’s been such a hit.

While fans may have to wait a bit for an anime adaptation, it seems like only a matter of time before Chihiro’s adventures make their way to the small screen. In the meantime, readers can continue to enjoy the manga and speculate about what’s to come in the world of Kagurabachi.
