Kathy Hilton aims to guarantee a harmonious Season 13 reunion for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, making a noteworthy appearance on set. Bravo’s Instagram post on January 27 teased, “Kathy Hilton makes a special appearance during the #RHOBH Reunion. Coming soon.”
In the captured image, 64-year-old Kathy Hilton elegantly sported a sequined knee-length skirt and a matching cape, striking a pose outside a trailer. The open door revealed a “Kathy Hilton” sign on RHOBH letterhead, signifying her presence in the holding room.
The RHOBH cast commenced filming their revealing reunion on Friday, January 26. As per Bravo’s shared seating chart, attendees include Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke, Garcelle Beauvais, Crystal Kung Minkoff, and newcomer Annemarie Wiley.
Kathy, the elder sister of Kyle, featured on RHOBH as a “friend” in seasons 11 and 12 before opting to step away from the franchise. Confirming her departure to E! News in July 2023, she expressed excitement about her new venture on daughter Paris Hilton’s Peacock show, “Paris in Love,” anticipating it to be filled with the usual blend of interest, fun, and drama.
Kathy’s final season on RHOBH led to a rift with her sister Kyle, 55, following the cast’s Aspen trip. Speaking to Us, Kathy revealed her lack of desire to film more episodes of the Bravo hit. At BravoCon 2022, she emphasized that returning would depend on changes, stating, “If it’s [the] same cast? Not. … I just think that you need to mix things up a little bit.”
RHOBH Season 13 is currently unfolding on Bravo, putting Kyle’s marriage drama at the forefront. Us confirmed in July 2023 that Kyle and her husband Mauricio Umansky, parents to four daughters, had separated.
In November 2023, Kathy shared with Today that the news of Kyle’s separation “broke [her] heart,” highlighting Kyle’s strength and assertiveness. Kathy emphasized that Kyle wouldn’t have taken this step without careful consideration. Following Kathy’s headline-making comments, Kyle reached out to Mauricio, 53, to discuss the matter.
“I’m like, ‘I know you’re going to see this,’ and he’s like, ‘I just saw. I’m not even looking at these things anymore. I’m not going to do any deep dives,’” Kyle told pal Teddi Mellencamp during an Extra interview. “Here’s the thing, the truth is, my sisters have been very supportive by offering their support, texting me, calling me, but I haven’t shared with my sisters anything about really what’s going on in my marriage, to be honest. I tend to keep to myself when I’m going through a difficult time.”
Kyle and Kathy have a third sister, Kim Richards, a former RHOBH Housewife. Kim made a cameo appearance on Season 13, adding an intriguing element to the unfolding storyline.
