WNBA star Kelsey Plum and NFL player Darren Waller have ended their marriage after just one year.  Plum, 29, expressed her heartbreak through an Instagram Story on April 23.

Plum stated, “I’m devastated. I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to go. God has given me an incredible life, and I’m truly so grateful for the profound love from my family and friends.”

She chose not to share further details, asking for grace as she processes her pain, emphasizing her intent to choose joy and expressing gratitude for the support she’s received.

The couple officially filed for divorce on Tuesday in Clark County, Nevada. Waller, 31, has remained silent about the breakup.

However, he shared insights from a recent vacation in Hawaii on his Instagram the day before Plum’s announcement, reflecting on peace of mind and the importance of embracing each moment fully.

Plum and Waller started dating during Waller’s time with the Las Vegas Raiders and were married in March 2023. Shortly after their wedding, Waller was traded to the New York Giants, a move that required the couple to relocate across the country.

Waller commented on the timing in an interview with The Post, acknowledging the challenges of adapting to such significant changes right at the start of their marriage. Despite these hurdles, Plum continued to excel in her career, pursuing her second consecutive WNBA championship with the Las Vegas Aces.
