Kim Kardashian is embarking on a new chapter in her career with her venture into comedy films. On a June 20 episode of “The Kardashians,” she revealed that she successfully pitched a comedy movie, “The Fifth Wheel,” to Netflix, where she will both star and produce.

This project marks a significant shift for Kim, who credited her agent, Brad Slater, for his support in navigating this unexpected turn in her career. Despite her initial surprise and nervousness, she expressed excitement about the opportunity.

Kim admitted that pitching the movie to studios was nerve-wracking as it was her first time doing so. She described the film as a blend of “The Hangover,” “Bridesmaids,” and “First Wives Club,” and she felt both excitement and apprehension about the project.

Her anxieties were somewhat alleviated when five studios expressed interest within 20 minutes of her pitch, making her feel validated but also pressured to deliver a successful project.

As offers poured in, Kim felt overwhelmed by the expectations placed on her. During a dinner with friends, she voiced her disbelief at the confidence studios had in her ability to handle the role. She candidly shared her fears in a confessional, acknowledging the high stakes and her need to perform well in this new venture.

Despite the pressures, Kim humorously noted that sleep would be the first sacrifice she would make to meet the demands of her new role. She confidently stated that she could handle one movie per year for the next decade, focusing on maintaining her appearance. She expressed concerns about the physical demands of acting but remained optimistic about balancing her new career with her personal standards.

Kim’s foray into acting isn’t entirely new. She recently appeared in “American Horror Story: Delicate” and has had minor roles in films and TV shows over the years. Her commitment to her acting career is evident, as she took acting lessons in preparation for her role in the horror series. Kim’s willingness to step out of her comfort zone and embrace new challenges highlights her determination to succeed in this new chapter of her career.
