The highly anticipated first episode of the third season of KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! is set to premiere this month.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting this new season, especially since the second season aired back in 2017. After nearly seven years, the wait is finally over.
The KonoSuba anime is adapted from a light novel series by the same name, written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima.
The first season aired in 2016, followed by the second season in 2017. However, fans have been eagerly anticipating the third installment for nearly seven years.
The third season of the show will be made by Drive Studio, not Studio Deen. Yujiro Abe will be the director this time.
Takaomi Kanasake, who directed the first two seasons and the Legend of Crimson movie, will be the Chief Director for this season.
He’ll also supervise the scripts. Koichi Kikuta is doing the character design, and Masato Koda is handling the music for the series.
In the new season, Jun Fukushima will play the lead role of Satou Kazuma, Sara Anamiya will voice Aqua, Ai Kayano will be Darkness, and Riye Takahashi will portray Megumin.
A significant character named Iris will debut in the first episode, voiced by Kanon Takao.
Expectation
The story of KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! centers on Kazume Sato, who finds himself waking up after an accident next to a stunning girl.
She offers him a chance to travel to a distant fantasy world, taking only one thing with him. Kazume chooses to bring the Goddess named Aqua along on his journey.
They arrive in beautiful fantasy world, a Demon King reigns. While Kazuma desires a peaceful life there, Aqua is determined to tackle the numerous issues afflicting the land.
Their actions draw the attention of the Demon King swiftly. In the upcoming third season, Kazuma and his party return, but Kazuma himself feels fed up with everything.
He wants to leave adventuring behind and live as a monk. However, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness have different ideas. Their plans take a turn when Princess Iris summons them by interrupting their intentions for a break.
The first episode of the new season promises to be just as funny as before, bringing back all the quirky characters we love.
It will also introduce Iris, the Princess of Belzerg, and we might learn what she wants from Kazuma and his party.
