While Doncic smiled at the incident, Irving, his teammate, found the behavior unacceptable. He promptly returned the ball to the fan, questioning his actions with strong language.

Despite the fan’s attempt to explain himself, Irving remained agitated, demanding that he refrain from speaking further. The incident escalated, drawing attention away from the game itself.

Following the incident, the fan, identified as Juan Guerra II, took to the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to share his side of the story. Guerra, a dedicated OKC superfan, expressed his perspective on the encounter, which deviated from his usual experiences at home games.

In response to the incident, Guerra received a red card warning from the league, nearly facing ejection from the arena. He clarified his actions in a video, stating that he intended to return the ball to the game official but was interrupted by Irving’s intervention.

Despite attempts to diffuse the situation, tensions remain high as the Mavericks prepare for a rematch against the Thunder. Irving and his teammates are focused on redemption, with the possibility of Guerra’s presence adding an extra layer of anticipation to the upcoming game.
