Imagine your favorite late-night talk show turning into a portal to hell. That’s the chilling premise of Late Night with the Devil, a horror film brimming with dark humor and unexpected scares.

Set in the groovy 70s, the story follows Jack Delroy, a desperate late-night host willing to do anything for ratings. In a bid to boost viewership, he attempts to summon a demon live on air.

What starts as a publicity stunt quickly transforms into a terrifying nightmare. As the demonic forces take hold, the line between entertainment and malevolent evil blurs.

What Makes This Movie a Good-Watch?

The movie uses a late-night show setup to make it different to watch. We see the fake laughter on the show while real chaos happens backstage. This makes the scary parts even scarier because we see the fake world falling apart.

Even though the movie has scary parts, it’s not just a funny spoof. It gives us a new twist on demons and possession, especially with a young character bringing in classic horror ideas in a new way.

There’s also dark humor in the movie, which makes the story more interesting. One moment, we’re laughing at how crazy things are, but then we’re scared by what’s happening. This mix keeps us interested and on the edge of our seats.

The movie has some good parts but also some drawbacks. It uses a style where the story looks like it’s filmed by the characters themselves, which is common in scary movies. But sometimes this style makes it hard to fully understand what’s going on.

But towards the end, the movie gets really good. As the evil powers take over, things get crazier and it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s not. This part is the best because it messes with your head and makes you wonder what’s really happening.

Even though it could spend more time in that creepy zone between reality and fantasy, the actor Dastmalchian does a great job. He starts off as a confident guy but as things get worse, he becomes just as scared as we are. His acting really makes the ending intense.
