StarNews reports that the 33rd Civil Affairs Department of the Seoul Central District Court is set to commence hearings on the 1 billion won damages lawsuit filed by ATTAKT against The Givers’ CEO Ahn Sung-il and director Baek Jin-sil on July 11. The lawsuit, initiated on September 27, 2023, will address various allegations made by ATTAKT against the defendants.

Allegations and Claims by ATTAKT

According to ATTAKT’s complaint, Ahn Sung-il and Baek Jin-sil are accused of violating their business service contract with ATTAKT, resulting in property damage and interference with ATTAKT’s business operations. Specifically, Ahn Sung-il, in his role as the main producer of ATTAKT’s FIFTY FIFTY project, and Baek Jin-sil, as an in-house director of The Givers, allegedly breached their obligations under the Project Management service contract.

ATTAKT contends that the damages incurred include embezzlement and loss of significant business opportunities such as advertising contracts and sponsorships. These actions have led to direct disputes between ATTAKT and its artists, prompting the company to seek compensation for the incurred losses.

Legal Proceedings and Previous Complaints

In July 2023, CEO Jeon Hong-Joon of ATTAKT complained to the Gangnam Police Station against Ahn Sung-il, accusing him of embezzlement, forgery of private documents, and the use of counterfeit documents in business transactions. Ahn Sung-il had previously faced legal action and was sent to the prosecution after being found guilty of obstruction of business and damage to electronic records filed by CEO Jeon Hong-joon.

Additionally, Ahn Sung-il faces further charges of embezzlement in business, which have been admitted. These legal disputes reflect the ongoing conflicts between ATTAKT and The Givers, highlighting the complexities of the legal battle.

Contract Termination and Company Status

In light of the exclusive contract dispute, ATTAKT has terminated the contracts of members Sio, Saena, and Aran, leaving only member Keena present in the company. The termination of contracts further underscores the challenges faced by ATTAKT amidst the legal battles and internal disputes of the organization.
