Lee Yo Won is set to make a triumphant return to the silver screen, marking her first film appearance in seven years. On March 21, her agency, Management KOO, revealed that Lee Yo Won will star in the upcoming film “Beast” (literal title).

Lee Yo Won portrays Mi Ae, a former Miss Korea turned renowned actress, in “Beast.” The film follows Mi Ae’s journey as she reunites with her younger sister, Mi Ok, recently released from prison.

Since her debut in 1998 with “The Scent of a Man,” Lee Yo Won has graced both the small and big screens with her versatile performances. Notable projects in her illustrious career include the historical drama “Queen Seondeok of Silla,” the comedy-drama “Ms. Temper & Nam Jung Gi,” as well as the films “Fists of Legend” and “My Little Brother.”

“Beast” is poised to showcase Lee Yo Won’s prowess as she investigates the complex character of Mi Ae, navigating themes of family, identity, and redemption.
