Oh Young Soo, the actor from ‘Squid Game,’ is confronting legal consequences due to allegations of indecent assault.
In 2022, Oh Young Soo, the ‘Squid Game’ actor, was formally charged with indecent assault for alleged inappropriate touching of an unnamed woman in 2017. Despite the accusations, Oh Young Soo maintains his innocence, asserting that he simply held her hand to guide around a lake.
Additional reports suggest that in August 2017, he forcibly hugged the woman during a hiking incident, and in September of the same year, he allegedly kissed her on the cheek.
As of February 2, prosecutors have sought a one-year prison sentence for Oh Young Soo, accusing him of inappropriate physical contact with a woman.
Prosecutors claim that Oh Young Soo exhibited inappropriate behavior expressing lust during a 2017 drinking session with the alleged victim. In a subsequent apology text, he allegedly described her as a daughter, potentially as a manipulative tactic.
Oh Young Soo’s legal defense contends a lack of evidence beyond the alleged victim’s statement. The actor, expressing the difficulty of his situation, stated, “It’s difficult for me to stand before the court at my age. I feel like my life is ruined due to the fact that this is how I’ll end my life. I ask you to make a wise ruling.”
