I remember saying that Chris and Sophie’s banter is kind of weird. I feel like a lot of his jokes go over her head, but maybe not. I’m not even sure if I could see the vision.

I don’t know if I do or if I don’t. Chris, even having a crush on Sophie is just out of left field for me to begin with.

I do like the conversation that they had about the love languages where he was like, “I want to ask, but that’s kind of cheating, I’d rather just figure it out”.

So, they’re going great or whatever, but we still know that Josh is in the picture, and he’s not letting up on pursuing Sophie either. These two talk more about Villa stuff than actual compatibility between the two of them.

They also have less of a boundary when it comes to the physical because they’re sharing the bed too, so I don’t know with them. Is it just a sexual chemistry? Is there actual potential for compatibility? Sophie, you got your pick of the litter at this point.

If I was to pick for her. I think I would pick Chris. Even though we’ve now seen a side of Chris that’s like, “ohh, OK, so this happy-go-lucky guy is not necessarily a facade, but it definitely can be used at times as a defense mechanism”.

But I see more potential with Chris than I do with Josh because Josh, to me, just looks like he wants to dig somebody down. Because what happened to your dangerous sexual connection with Arabella? That’s just completely off the table now.

Previous Episode Recap

Before diving into Love Island All Stars Episode 17, let’s quickly recap and review the previous episode. In the evening, Arabella wants to touch base with Chris so that they can clear the air.

I understand where Arabella is coming from because Chris did seem kind of cold and callous to her in this conversation. However, you can’t be mad at somebody because they didn’t answer a question how you wanted them to answer it. You asked are we good? He said yes.

He might actually still be hurt, which I do think that he is because he was offended by her calling him disingenuous. He brings it up quite a few times. But the fact of the matter is, you asked the question, he answered. You can’t be mad at people because they don’t handle situations the way that you want them to handle them.

He also then apologized for the speech that he gave because it was insensitive; he acknowledges that. She accepted the apology, so let’s pack it up and move on.

The episode ends with a game of truth or Dare. However, the Islanders get to pick what the truths and the dares are. Let’s go through the list; it’s a long one.

Tyler had a 22-second snog with Kaz, but she was very disinterested. Josh did a sexy dance for Sophie, but it looked like a child who had to pee. Alright, Georgia H is most attracted to Chris and Mitch. Anton thinks that Arabella is the most disloyal, and this is not the second time she’s been called disloyal.

Sophie would still have chosen Josh if she had the opportunity to. Liberty fancies Chris outside of Mitch and also wants to kiss Toby. Tyler looked very unmagical when he was doing his Magic Mike Dance for Hannah.

Josh’s favorite Islander is Hannah, and his least favorite is Mitch. He says that Mitch deflects a lot, and he doesn’t hold himself accountable, and I agree. Even Mitch didn’t actually deny it.

Chris thinks that Arabella is playing the biggest game. Chris, even if you felt that way coming off the heels of what you just came from, I think that was a poor choice.

Georgia’s top two guys outside of Callum are Tom and Toby. She also said that she enjoyed the 3 way kiss that they had together.

A lot more happened in previous episodes, but now let’s discuss when Episode 17 of Love Island All-Stars will be released and what will happen in it.

Love Island All Stars Episode 17 will be released on 31 January 2024 on ITV2. At the time of writing, 20 episodes are scheduled for this season, but there will likely be more episodes like the other Love Island shows.
