In a recent interview with Time, Mahomes expressed his admiration for Brady’s longevity and stated his desire to emulate it, noting that if he played until Brady’s age, his daughter would be in her late teens or early twenties, a prospect he finds appealing.

However, Mahomes also acknowledged that family considerations could ultimately dictate the duration of his career, suggesting that his retirement might come sooner if family priorities take precedence.

Mahomes, who shares a three-year-old daughter with his wife Brittany, emphasized the importance of family in his decision-making regarding his NFL career. He expressed that if he feels his career begins to impede his ability to be present for his daughter’s significant milestones, he will seriously contemplate retirement.
