Marjorie Taylor Greene Pushes for Biden Impeachment Amidst Business Allegations

Marjorie Taylor Greene and Joe Biden

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, has been loudly calling for President Joe Biden to be removed from office since before he became president in January 2021. She says Biden did something wrong with his son’s business overseas, but there isn’t much proof. Greene even tried to impeach Biden on his very first day as president because of these claims.

A recent report by Politico revealed that several of Biden’s closest aides and advisers have ties to his relatives’ business ventures, both during and after their time working for him. These connections include shared personnel such as a bookkeeper with Hunter Biden and a personal lawyer with Biden’s brother Jim. However, the extent of current or former staffers’ involvement in Biden’s relatives’ business affairs remains unclear.

Greene Calls for Biden Impeachment Amid Business Allegations.

In response to the Politico report, Greene reiterated her call for Biden’s impeachment, asserting that he has exploited his position of power for personal gain, alleging a pattern of self-enrichment spanning years. She contends that Biden must not only be impeached and removed from office but also prosecuted for his alleged crimes and imprisoned. Greene’s stance aligns with her previous actions and statements regarding Biden’s presidency.

The House of Representatives previously voted along party lines to launch an impeachment inquiry into Biden, with Republicans alleging that, during his tenure as vice president under Barack Obama, Biden improperly supported his son’s business activities for financial gain. Biden has consistently denied any involvement in his son’s business affairs, while the White House has dismissed the GOP’s impeachment efforts as baseless and politically motivated.

The backdrop of these impeachment efforts coincides with the looming rematch between Biden and former President Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election. With both candidates securing their parties’ nominations, they are set to face off in debates scheduled for June and September, setting the stage for a contentious electoral contest amidst ongoing political controversies.
