Margarette Macaron is depicted as a nonbinary third-year student at Easton Magic Academy in Mashle: Magic and Muscles. They typically appear tall with a masculine physique but transform into a more feminine and petite form when unleashing their magical power.

For those unfamiliar with Harry Potter, the inclusion of a trans character might not seem significant, but for Potterheads, it holds great importance. This is especially true given J.K. Rowling’s history of expressing transphobic views, which she has shared openly on her social media platforms.

Rowling’s remarks about the trans community have been unapologetic and harsh, causing disappointment among many fans. The introduction of a trans character in Mashle: Magic and Muscles serves as a moment of joy for those who felt let down by Rowling’s stance.
