Jack Teixeira, a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, is anticipated to change his plea to guilty in connection with leaking classified military information, according to federal prosecutors.

Teixeira, aged 22, was arrested in April for allegedly divulging classified documents to an online gaming group via the messaging app Discord. The leaked material included highly sensitive U.S. military assessments, notably on the Ukraine conflict.

Federal prosecutors have requested a hearing for Teixeira to formalize his plea change, although the specific charges remain undisclosed. Initially facing six counts related to the transmission and retention of classified information, the nature of Teixeira’s expected guilty plea is yet to be revealed.
