Despite finishing the game with 19 points, Butler’s MRI scheduled for Thursday will determine the extent of his injury, as reported by NBA sources.
The injury occurred during a layup attempt in the first quarter when Kelly Oubre Jr. of the 76ers inadvertently fell on Butler’s leg. Despite playing 40 minutes without exiting the game, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra revealed that Butler’s condition deteriorated as the game progressed.
