Min Hee-jin’s Iconic Look Sparks Viral Parody Trend in Korea

Comedian Kim Ah-young's parody of Min Hee-jin's press conference goes viral with hilarious imitations and outspoken remarks.

A new viral trend has taken over Korea as comedians Kim Ah-young and Lee Kuk-joo bring humour to ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin’s recent press conference with spot-on parodies.

In a preview for the upcoming episode of “SNL Korea,” released on May 4th, comedian Kim Ah-young stole the spotlight by impersonating Min Hee-jin’s unique style and outspoken mannerisms. Kim Ah-young’s short video featured her mimicking Min Hee-jin’s distinct tone while making humorous remarks like “I’m sorry, but this fkjussi” and “Fk.” Adding to the authenticity, Kim Ah-young donned the same striped shirt and blue hat that Min Hee-jin wore during the press conference.

Not long before this, comedian Lee Kuk-joo made waves on her channel with her rendition of the “Min Hee-jin look.” Although not a replica, Lee Kuk-joo’s video garnered attention by incorporating a similar outfit, complete with a striped top and blue hat. Playfully acknowledging the trend, Lee Kuk-joo quipped, “What? I was a woman who was ahead of the trend,” prompting laughter from fellow comedian Kwon Hyuk-soo.

Interestingly, the clothing items worn by Min Hee-jin during her controversial press conference quickly sold out, underscoring the buzz generated by her appearance. Since then, numerous photos, images, and videos parodying the “Min Hee-jin look” have flooded various online platforms and communities. Many view these parodies as humorous memes, a common trend embraced by the MZ generation.
