Since the debut of the newest season of Call the Midwife, Sister Julienne and the others have been tackling several difficult cases in the neighbourhood. In the rerun of the medical drama, Jenny Agutter, Judy Parfitt, Helen George, and other actors play the kind and caring midwives of Nonnatus House.

The television show Call the Midwife centres on a group of midwives who treat illnesses, tend to wounds, help with childbirth, and deal with a variety of medical problems. These nurses play a crucial role in keeping Poplar healthy and preventing illness because the region in which they work is poor and plagued with disease.

The Memoirs of Jennifer Worth served as the original basis for the television series, while its plot has grown to include more and more intriguing elements with each new season. Many historical eras, including the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and others, have been medically examined and portrayed on Call the Midwife.

The Call the Midwife cast that is returning includes Linda Bassett as Nurse Phyllis Crane, Judy Parfitt as Sister Monica, Helen George as Nurse Beatrix, Laura Main as Shelagh, Stephen McGann as Dr Patrick, and Jenny Agutter as Sister Julienne. The new midwives are Renee Bailey as Joyce and Natalie Quarry as Rosalind.

Recap

Nancy requests time off from her rota in the sixth episode of season 13 to attend a meeting of Raise The Roof, a movement for increased compensation for nurses. Sister Julienne draws attention to the fact that Phyllis arranges the rota.

Nancy is hesitant to question her because she believes Nurse Crane and her have divergent views on the subject of advocating for wage increases. Rosalind, meantime, is so anxious about her impending final examinations that she accidentally spills her coffee during breakfast.

Exams and campaigns, however, quickly become unimportant to everyone when two little boys are discovered abandoned in a church, presumably by their mother. While the police, along with Cyril in his new position as welfare officer, are called, Sister Veronica and Shelagh assist in looking after the lads.

When Dr Turner examines the boys, he finds that despite having scabies and nits, they are healthy and appear to be well-fed. As the authorities look for their mother, they are soon placed with a temporary foster mother.
