Apart from his roles as a moonshiner and lumberjack, he also describes himself as an inventor, father, daredevil, motorcycle rider, and dirt track racer.
Still, one thing is for sure: he enjoys living dangerously. But Josh’s good fortune doesn’t seem to be keeping up. Will he survive? He might have been involved in a serious accident, according to recent sources.
Before joining Moonshiners, Josh was a competitive motocross racer. He has, of course, had quite a few close misses. In 2018, while competing in a race in Florida, his bike’s front tire burst apart. Josh sustained multiple injuries, including a shattered shoulder blade, a punctured lung, and a broken collarbone.
However, since he got back on the bike right away after getting well, it doesn’t seem like he learnt his lesson about tempting fate. Not too long ago, Josh was competing in a motorbike race. He made a terrible mistake, though, and crashed into a wall rather quickly.
Josh Owens had fractures to his arms, legs, back, and neck. Josh’s life was living on the edge. He had multiple procedures and was in the intensive care unit for several weeks. In my opinion, the fact that he lacked insurance was even worse. That much is uncertain at this time. He might not live to see another season of Moonshiners.
Amanda tracks down a freed Digger to locate Popcorn Sutton’s stainless steel still, which he last saw. Mike and Richard’s tense working relationship is put in danger when a demanding, attractive boss wants money. Josh returns to the forest and fixes his car.

Discovery will air Moonshiners Season 13 Episode 5 on January 30, 2024. The title of this episode is “Quarter Ton of Backwoods Fun.” As of this writing, the first season has six scheduled episodes; however, we anticipate that there will be at least 20 episodes, just like in the prior seasons.
