My Games recently launched a new publishing label called Knights Peak Interactive, which is focused on premium PC and console titles. The label, led by vice president of publishing Eugenio Vitale, global brand and marketing director Mario Gerhold, and creative director Jan-Eric Lauble, has already signed five projects and plans to publish three of them this year.

The creation of Knights Peak represents a strategic move by My Games to expand its business by entering the premium game publishing market, a shift from its previous focus on free-to-play models.

Eugenio Vitale explained that Knights Peak was established to give My Games a new pillar in its business by concentrating on premium titles from second and third-party studios. The label aims to ensure that the projects it supports receive the attention they deserve, providing a comprehensive package to developers, platform holders, players, and the media.

Vitale noted that while My Games had limited experience with premium titles, the shift in the PC and console industry from free-to-play to buy-to-play prompted the company to adapt and explore this new market segment.

The team behind Knights Peak, including experts like Mario Gerhold and Jan-Eric Lauble, is dedicated to helping both established and emerging studios achieve success in global markets and brand development.

One of the core principles of Knights Peak is flexibility, with a focus on exploring different publishing and co-publishing approaches across various formats and territories. Vitale emphasized the label’s commitment to giving a voice to established teams and helping developers push the boundaries of their game genres.

Knights Peak’s initial catalog includes five games, with more titles in development. The first release was the console edition of Offworld Industries’ Starship Troopers, followed by other titles such as VEA Games’ Nikoderiko: The Magical World, Primal Game Studio’s Mandragora, Owlcat Games’ Pathfinder: Kingmaker, and My Games’ Blast Brigade.

Looking ahead, the label aims to release four to five games in 2025 and five to six in 2026, with a focus on games that offer a distinct personality, a sense of familiarity, and high quality.

For the future, Knights Peak is focused on launching the titles currently in the pipeline and continuing to support its developers. Vitale expressed enthusiasm about building strong connections with players and emphasized the label’s commitment to long-term growth and development.

The ultimate goal of Knights Peak is to help developers create games that introduce fresh ideas within their genres and resonate with players, ensuring that both developers and players are proud of the final products.
