On Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, some details about the upcoming 415th chapter of Kohei Horikoshi’s popular manga series, “My Hero Academia,” were leaked before its official release.

Along with the leaked spoilers, a claim surfaced that the series would take a break for the following week, only to resume with the 416th chapter a week later.

In simpler terms, chapter 415 of “My Hero Academia” will be published on Monday, February 26th, 2024, as part of the 13th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine for the year.

However, the series will not appear in the 14th issue, taking a one-week hiatus. It will then return with chapter 416 on its regular publication date of Monday, March 4th, 2024.

This development means that within a span of four weeks, “My Hero Academia” will have taken two breaks from its regular publication schedule. The manga had already gone on an unexpected break last week due to Horikoshi’s health concerns.

While the author’s well-being should be the top priority, fans are growing apprehensive about his overall health condition, given the consecutive breaks within such a short period.

My Hero Academia Is On A Break Next Week

While fans are speculating about the health of Kohei Horikoshi, the brilliant creator behind the “My Hero Academia” manga, the fact that chapter 415 is scheduled for release this week suggests there’s nothing too serious going on.

If there were major concerns, it’s unlikely the previous unexpected break would be followed by a new chapter release. Additionally, since spoilers for chapter 415 have already surfaced as of the writing of the article, it’s almost certain that the story will continue as planned on Monday, February 26th.

The recent sudden break was likely due to a common illness, such as a cold or the flu, that required Horikoshi to take some time off at the last minute.

Similarly, the planned break week is probably meant to give him extra time to fully recover from whatever sickness he was dealing with last week.

While certain enthusiasts feel irritated that the concluding storyline is progressing slower due to these precautionary measures, others rightly defend Horikoshi and his team’s decision.

The tragic passing of Kentaro Miura, the critically acclaimed mastermind behind the “Berserk” manga, and the ongoing health struggles of “Hunter x Hunter” mangaka Yoshihiro Togashi serve as real-life illustrations of the perils of excessive work.

More About My Hero Academia

Izuku Midoriya is a young boy who dreams of becoming a Hero, even though he gets bullied by his childhood friend Katsuki Bakugo for not having any special powers called Quirks. One day, Izuku meets his idol, the greatest hero of all named All Might.

All Might choose Izuku to inherit his Quirk called “One For All” which allows him to stockpile raw power and pass it on to others. All Might does this because he was severely injured fighting his archenemy All For One, whose Quirk lets him steal powers from others.

Izuku begins attending the special U.A. High School for Heroes along with Bakugo.

Throughout the school year, Izuku and his classmates work hard to improve their abilities. They also face off against the League of Villains, led by All For One’s apprentice Tomura Shigaraki.

The villains want to kill All Might and destroy society using powerful creatures called “Nomu” that have multiple Quirks.

After competing in a sports festival, Izuku, Shoto Todoroki, and Tenya Ida defeat a villain named Stain.

But Stain’s message inspires more villains to join the League, including the serial killer Dabi and the unstable Himiko Toga.

Eventually, the League kidnaps Bakugo. All Might and the other Heroes locate the villains’ hideout and rescue Bakugo.

Though victorious, this fight completely depletes the last of All Might’s borrowed power, forcing him into retirement. The League escapes but loses significant resources and access to the powerful Nomu creatures.
