MBS’s romance drama “My Strawberry Film” stars Fukada Ryusei, Yabana Rei and Yoshida Mizuki in the lead roles. Three high school sophomores, Ryo, Hikaru, and Chika, navigate their daily lives, concealing their emotions while trying to maintain their friendships.
However, their routine is disrupted when Hikaru and Chika stumble upon an unexpected discovery—a reel of 8mm film hidden in an old warehouse at school.
As the group tries to solve this new mystery, Hikaru becomes captivated by a girl in the footage, sparking concern from Ryo and curiosity from Chika. The girl’s presence on the film intrigues them, leading to a series of events that none of these sophomores could have expected.
In the episode 3, Ryo, Hikaru, and Chika are surprised by how much their new classmate, Minami, looks like the girl in the old film they found. Ryo feels a bit jealous because he thinks Hikaru will like Minami. In their secret hangout, Ryo worries about sharing the film online without Minami’s okay.
When Chika brings Minami to the room, they show her the film, and she agrees to help find out who the girl is, even though she doesn’t have a mole like her.
The next day, they get a comment about the girl’s identity. Chika & the others later see a related video that makes them trust the commenter more. As they talk about it, Hikaru can’t stop staring at Minami’s face. Minami meets the teacher who seemed to know something about the girl in the film.
