A new teaser of the upcoming fantasy drama “High School Return of a Gangster” has been released by TVING on its YouTube Channel.
Yoon Chan Young, known for his role in the popular post-apocalyptic K-drama All Of Us Are Dead, is back with a fresh story. His next show, High School Return of a Gangster, adds a new angle to high school and bullying.
The drama’s posters, showcasing Yoon Chan Young, Lee Seo Jin, and Bong Jae Hyun, hint at a new side to Yoon Chan Young’s character as he prepares to stand up to bullies at school.
“High School Return of a Gangster” is about a gangster whose soul accidentally enters the body of a 19-year-old high school outcast. Wanting to go to college, he becomes friends with a student dealing with domestic violence and uses his skills to punish bullies.
The teaser starts with 47-year-old gangster Kim Deuk Pal (Lee Seo Jin) standing down the road and sees Song Yi Heon (Yoon Chan Young), a high school outcast, trying to jump off a rooftop. When Yi Heon’s body hits Kim Deuk Pal, Deuk Pal’s soul enters Yi Heon’s body by accident.
When Deuk Pal, now in Yi Heon’s body, goes to school, Yi Heon’s classmate Choi Se Kyung (Golden Child’s Jaehyun) notices something is off. Se Kyung says, “Don’t try to fool me with that memory loss lie. Others may believe it, but you’re different. You’re not Song Yi Heon. Are you?”
“High School Return of a Gangster” premieres on May 29.
