Singletary, a 26-year-old running back, had a career-high 898 rushing yards with the Texans last season. Prior to joining the Texans, he spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills, where he started 56 games in the AFC East.

Notably, he surpassed 775 rushing yards in three of those four seasons, playing under current Giants head coach Brian Daboll when Daboll was the offensive coordinator for the Bills.

The acquisition of Singletary provides the Giants with a replacement for Barkley, who secured a three-year, $36 million deal with the Eagles during the NFL’s legal tampering period. The Giants may still explore additional options at running back to strengthen their backfield in the absence of Barkley.
