Seeing them in action prior to being drafted into their respective teams, he added, was “a new thing for them.”
He declared, “We get to see these cooks in action, not just look at their resumes or social media channels, so the audition process is new for us. In the ‘Next Level Chef’ kitchens, we get to watch them cook, and we base our decisions in the draft on how well they perform.”
The purpose of the first three episodes was to host the show’s chef candidate auditions. The social media chef was the focus of the Next Level Chef premiere, while home cooks were the subject of the second episode.
Professional chefs will be featured in Episode 3. The drafting process will be the next entry, with the same rules of elimination applying. The final step for mentors Gordon Ramsay, Richard Blais, and Nyesha Arrington is to assemble their teams.
