Former two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Vontae Davis has passed away at the age of 35. Authorities confirmed no foul play in his death, with investigations ongoing.

Davis, known for his stints with the Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, and Buffalo Bills, was found deceased at his grandmother’s residence in Southwest Ranches, Florida.

Davis, who earned Pro Bowl honors in 2014 and 2015, retired abruptly during a game for the Bills against the Los Angeles Chargers in 2018.

Throughout his 10-year career, he amassed impressive stats, including 22 interceptions, 97 passes defended, and 395 tackles.

Tributes poured in from the football community, with Colts owner Jim Irsay expressing sadness over Davis’ passing and extending prayers to his family.

The Dolphins, who drafted Davis in 2009, and the Bills also shared their condolences, highlighting his impact on and off the field. Originally from Washington, D.C., Davis signed with the Buffalo Bills in 2018 but made the decision to leave the team during halftime of the season’s second game.

In a statement afterward, he cited multiple injuries and surgeries, realizing that he no longer belonged on the field. Throughout his career spanning 122 games, Davis showcased his talent, earning recognition as a Pro Bowl player and leaving a lasting legacy in the NFL.
