Nicki Minaj And Megan Thee Stallion: Why Are They Fighting?

Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion

Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion’s camaraderie during “Hot Girl Summer” has taken a turn, with the once-friendly collaboration now marred by a falling out between the Grammy Award nominees.

The conflict between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion reportedly began in two instances. The first involves Megan’s speculated reaction to learning about Nicki’s pregnancy.

Nicki, without directly naming Megan, alleged that a fellow musician suggested she should consider aborting her baby. Reflecting on the incident on Queen Radio, Nicki shared, “Imagine telling someone you didn’t want a drink…you know, because you were, at the time, possibly pregnant because you were actively trying to have a baby.

“Imagine that person saying, ‘Oh girl, you can go to the clinic! Imagine posting photos that you’re pregnant, and the person doesn’t even like it or say congratulations.

“But then, when you post that Beyoncé sent you flowers congratulating you, the person then tries to attempt to send you flowers thinking that…’Oh, I could use this opportunity as I use everyone else. She’ll post that I sent her flowers.’

“I didn’t even let them s**ts in my motherf**king house, clown,” Nicki Minaj exclaimed, hinting at a strained relationship. Additionally, she appeared to reference unsuccessful negotiations for another collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.

Megan denied the rumors on Twitter, responding with a straightforward “LIE.” This speculation aligned with the release of Megan’s collaboration with Cardi B on their hit song “WAP.”

Due to the ongoing tension between Nicki and Cardi, the release of “WAP” was seen as potentially intensifying the conflict between Nicki and Megan.

On January 26, 2024, Megan dropped her song “Hiss,” leading fans to speculate it was a diss aimed at Nicki. In the lyrics, she raps, “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law… I don’t know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start… B***h, you a p***y.”

Nicki’s fans speculated that Megan’s lyrics alluded to the legal issues surrounding Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty. In July 2022, Kenneth faced legal repercussions for not registering as a sex offender in California due to his 1995 conviction for first-degree attempted rape. “Megan’s Law” is a federal law mandating authorities to notify communities about a registered sex offender’s presence.

On the same Friday, Nicki previewed a song on Instagram that seemed to be a response, potentially containing diss lyrics aimed at Megan.

Megan There Stallion’s Response

Megan responded to the controversy without directly naming Nicki during a call to the Breakfast Club. She stated, “It’s for these b***hes and hoes, b***es and hoes alike, men or women. I’m saying a hit dog gon’ holler. That’s it. Whoever feels it, feel it.” Megan emphasized that whenever someone uses her name, they get 24 hours of attention.

Megan expressed, “Basically, I understand what y’all doing, and I want y’all to get up off me. Use something else. Do something different. Use another tactic. This one getting old.”
