Nikki Bella is calling it quits on her marriage, officially filing for divorce from Artem Chigvintsev just weeks after his arrest for domestic violence.

The retired WWE star went to court on Wednesday, submitting divorce papers after two years of marriage, according to online records.

This filing comes nearly two weeks after Artem was arrested on August 29 for felony corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant. He was accused of assaulting Nikki, which resulted in visible injuries that led to his arrest.

Nikki wasted no time after Artem’s arrest, reportedly seeking out divorce attorneys the following day. It appears she chose Evan Craig Itzkowitz to represent her in the proceedings.

The couple shares a 4-year-old son, Matteo, though it’s unclear if a prenuptial agreement exists.

The divorce isn’t entirely unexpected, as Nikki had already removed her wedding ring. She is currently living at their family home in Napa Valley with Matteo, while Artem is said to be staying with a friend.

As we previously reported, Artem was arrested after he called 911 to request medical help for the alleged victim but then canceled the request.

Despite this, police still arrived at the scene, observed clear injuries on the victim, and arrested the “Dancing With The Stars” pro. Artem posed for a mugshot and was released on bail.

Nikki and Artem first met on “Dancing With The Stars” in 2017. However, they didn’t begin dating until after Nikki’s final split from John Cena in 2018.

They got engaged in January 2020 and married in August 2022 in a romantic ceremony in Paris. Now, it’s officially over—and all signs point to a potentially contentious divorce ahead.
