According to the law firm, the choice to part ways with Combs was made by the firm’s partners several months ago. This proactive decision was taken because they felt it was the appropriate action to take.

The music mogul is currently involved in multiple lawsuits with serious allegations, including sex trafficking and rape, which prompted the firm’s decision to drop him around eight weeks ago. The firm clarified that client pressure did not influence their decision, countering the narrative that Lady Gaga had anything to do with it.

Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks represents many top names in entertainment, including Lady Gaga. Recently, NewsNation reported that Combs was dropped because Lady Gaga threatened to leave the firm if they continued representing him. This claim suggested that the pop star’s influence was the deciding factor in the firm’s decision.

However, a source close to Lady Gaga denied that such a conversation ever took place. This source maintained that Lady Gaga did not issue any ultimatum to the law firm regarding Combs. Thus, the idea that she was behind his departure from the firm is unfounded.

In addition to losing his legal representation, Combs has faced significant fallout in the wake of the allegations against him. Several companies have severed ties with him, and he lost his key to the city of New York following a leaked video of him assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Combs also resigned from his position at Revolt TV, the media company he co-founded.
