For more than twenty years, Distinctive Assets, a marketing firm based in Los Angeles, has been bestowing “Everybody Wins” bags upon nominees in the top categories at the Oscars.

According to report on the 2024 Oscars, 20 nominees are slated to receive an opulent array of gifts valued at $180,000 (approximately Rs 1.4 crore).

This extravagant gift package, resembling more of a suitcase than a mere bag, encompasses over 50 items. The items range from a Rs 1,200 Rubik’s Cube to an exclusive invitation for a Rs 41 lakh stay at a ski chalet in Switzerland.

Lash Fary, the founder of Distinctive Assets, explained,

“It rarely ever fits into a single suitcase. We have a piece of Olympia luggage that’s the biggest rolling duffel bag they make. And then it usually spills over into these eco-friendly tote bags.” Notably, Distinctive Assets is not affiliated with the Academy.

Highlights of the contents inside the “Everybody Wins” gift bags include:

  • The pinnacle of luxury: A three-night stay at Chalet Zermatt Peak in Switzerland, valued at $50,000 (around Rs 41 lakh). This esteemed chalet, recognized as the “Best Ski Chalet” by the World Ski Awards, grants nominees exclusive access to the entire space, with the possibility of bringing up to nine guests to enjoy the opulent experience.
  • A coveted invitation awaits: A seven-day retreat at Southern California’s renowned Golden Door spa, valued at $24,000 (approximately Rs 19 lakh). This exclusive experience offers nominees rejuvenating massages, delectable farm-to-table meals, and enriching mindfulness and wellness classes, ensuring a holistic and pampering escape.
  • A portable Schwank Grill, valued at $1,350 (around Rs 1 lakh), adds a touch of outdoor culinary excellence to the gift bag ensemble.
  • A $10,000 (roughly Rs 8.2 lakh) micro-needling treatment from Cynosure offers nominees skin-tightening and revitalization, reducing signs of aging or blemishes.
  • A $25,000 (Rs 20 lakh) live show from mentalist Carl Christman merges magic, mind reading, hypnosis, and comedy for an unforgettable experience.
  • A handcrafted bag by master artisans from Canada-based Elboque, valued at $335 (about Rs 27,000), adds artisanal elegance to the gift collection.
  • A retro-themed 50th-anniversary Rubik’s Cube, valued at Rs 1,200, features the original logo and color scheme, offering nostalgic fun.
  • A luxury gift set from Miage skincare, priced at $515 (about Rs 42,000), indulges nominees with premium skincare essentials.
