The English version, licensed by Kodansha USA, encapsulates the suspenseful plot: “In silence and darkness, alien parasites descend, hungry for human flesh, infiltrating and taking control of their hosts. Ordinary faces hide lethal creatures, and only one high school student, Shin, battles to warn humanity of the impending horrors.”

With its roots deeply embedded in the manga, the Parasyte franchise has expanded to include a spin-off manga titled “Parasyte Reversi,” serialized on Kodansha’s Comic Days from 2018 to 2021.

The anime adaptation, “Parasyte -the Maxim-,” brought the story to life with 24 episodes animated by Madhouse and directed by Kenichi Shimizu. Additionally, the series enjoyed a successful two-part Japanese live-action film adaptation in 2014 and 2015.

As the countdown begins to the release of “Parasyte: The Grey,” anticipation builds for a new chapter in the Parasyte saga, promising viewers an enthralling blend of suspense, horror, and human resilience.
