Following a short-lived relationship and subsequent breakup, the duo came to the realization that finding solace and healing lay solely in each other’s company, addressing their lingering “heart’s illness.”

Their heartfelt kisses, symbolizing the official reunion of the ‘WooNeul couple,’ ignited a wave of warmth and excitement. The audience’s reaction was nothing short of explosive.

The 10th episode achieved a new personal best in viewership ratings, reaching 8.2% nationwide and 9.8% in the metropolitan area, according to Nielsen Korea (paid households).

This marked the show’s highest ratings among all general programming and cable programs.Comparatively, the viewership more than doubled from the first episode, which debuted at 4.0% nationwide and 4.8% in the metropolitan area.

Despite a slight decline to the 3% range during the Lunar New Year holiday, the ratings have since steadily ascended, indicating a promising momentum for the series.

The tender embrace shared by Jeong Woo and Nam Ha-neul in the closing moments of the broadcast left viewers’ hearts aflutter, hinting at the unfolding romance between the two characters.

Of particular note was Jeong Woo’s mother, Gong Wol-sun (Jang Hye-jin), whose words to Nam Ha-neul carried profound significance.

Her gentle encouragement, though possibly interpreted as nagging or pressure, prompted a significant realization for Nam Ha-neul.

Finding solace in her words, he realized the importance of taking a moment to recuperate rather than pushing forward relentlessly.

Nam Ha-neul’s poignant narration, “Sometimes, quiet and calm consolation is needed more,” struck a chord with audiences, resonating deeply.

JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Doctor Slump’ airs regularly every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 PM.
