Netflix has unveiled the roster of 100 contestants set to participate in the upcoming “Physical: 100 Season 2 – Underground”!

“Physical: 100” stands as a survival show, challenging 100 contestants in peak physical condition to engage in various competitions until only one emerges victorious, claiming the prize money and the esteemed title of possessing the ultimate physique.

The first season of “Physical: 100” made history by becoming the first Korean show to secure the top spot on Netflix’s Top 10 Shows (Non-English). Achieving recognition in 82 different countries, the show amassed a staggering total viewing time of 192.63 million hours within six weeks.

PD Jang Ho Gi, the producing director of the show, shared insights into the second season’s participants, noting the inclusion of numerous current and former national team athletes who found the first season intriguing. He emphasized that some participants likened the experience to compete in international sports matches, resulting in heightened tension from the outset.

Writer Kang Sook Kyung added a layer of diversity to the participants, highlighting individuals with unique and extreme exercise routines, such as those dedicating 10 hours a day to push their physical limits, individuals adopting lifestyles involving activities like tree climbing or daily mountain load-carrying, and even participants building their bodies to cosplay their favourite characters.

Describing the contestants, Kang Sook Kyung stated, “All 100 contestants have unique stories and confidence in their bodies, making it difficult to categorize them.”
