The last few chapters were pretty exciting since we finally got to see Leah and Ishakan together again. Ishakan came swooping in like a knight in shining armor and saved the Princess from being violated by the Margrave, who is her fiance. We didn’t expect Margrave to be a good man but his recent actions were still surprising.
We can only guess that the old and out of shape Margrave felt threatened by Ishakan since his to-be wife seemed to be spending time with him and looked attracted to him. Let us see the aftermath of this ordeal with the Margrave and Leah’s secret escapade in Predatory Marriage Chapter 24.
So far we have understood that Leah is being completely exploited and taken advantage of by the Royal Family, specifically her step-mother and half-brother. Not just that, it also seems like Leah’s brother has a weird fascination towards her which is very evident by the way he speaks to her and treats her.
Ishakan is the only one who has treated the Princess like a real person and hasn’t tried to use her for their own gain. Leah also sees all this but she obviously can’t really acknowledge it either. Hopefully, this incident will help Leah and Ishakan come closer and take a step forward to becoming a real couple.

Recap
In the previous chapter of Predatory Marriage, a party was hosted at the Palace in honor of the foreign guests who had arrived in Estia. Ishakan, who is basically the King of the tribe along with his subordinates attend the party that Leah prepared. Leah’s fiance, the Margrave was also present there and jealous of Ishakan.
There is some undeniable chemistry between his to-be wife Leah and the King of Kurkan Ishakan. He takes Leah out to the garden under the pretext of taking a walk and takes her to a rather secluded place. He then hands her a drink, all while pretending to make friendly conversation.
The Margrave tells her that he has been seeing Leah and Ishakan eye each other and he needs to make sure that his bride-to-be is pure after all. Basically, it was his intention to sexually assault Leah and supposedly find out if she had been faithful to him or if she was having an affair with Ishakan.
Leah kicks the Margrave’s foot and runs away the moment he loosens his grip. As she is running, she stumbles into Ishakan who holds her and asks her if she is alright. When Leah reveals that she had been drugged by the Margrave, he informs her that it is an aphrodisiac and if she wants him to kill the Margrave for her.
Leah being faithful to the Royal Family asks him not to kill the Margrave, which seems to irk Ishakan a little. He takes her far away to a secluded spot and tells Leah that he will give her an antidote for the drug. However, it was surely not the kind of antidote that our poor Leah was expecting.
