The third season of Resident Alien just premiered, and this time around, Earth’s destiny is at stake. But this time, rather than planning the planet’s demise, Harry is attempting to safeguard it. This week, our hero hasn’t stopped being hostile to Joseph, the Grey-human hybrid.
The peculiar humor in the show is one of its defining features. This also applies to “The Upper Hand,” which consistently makes people laugh absurdly. However, a few of the jokes have a deeper meaning and deftly connect to the many situations.
These jokes contribute to the larger story by resolving plot threads and leading to revelations, whether it’s Max taking on the role of the Alien Tracker or the mayor awkwardly modeling for foot fetishists.

The enmity between Joseph and Harry is intensified by Resident Alien. We learn about the history between their species through exposition, and Alan Tudyk and Enver Gjokaj skillfully portray their characters’ resentment on screen. Gjokaj in particular gives Joseph a threatening vibe.
As more of Asta’s family members come under suspicion, the suspense and tension increase while Joseph and Asta are out on a second date. In the latest installment of Season 3 of “Resident Alien,” Alan Tudyk’s alien-in-disguise Harry pulls off his usual shenanigans, but this time he joins forces dangerously with Alice Wetterlund’s D’Arcy.
In an attempt to find evidence, Harry and D’Arcy break into Deputy Joseph’s (Enver Gjokaj) home with the goal of revealing the Gray alien hybrid. When things don’t turn out the way Harry planned, his anxieties and phobias manifest.
Harry, who feels like a “big stupid human-shaped failure,” has to confront his self-doubt as he makes his way through the complex web of human emotions and interactions. Simultaneously, Joseph goes on a date with Asta (Sara Tomko) in an attempt to deflect attention from the comedy that is developing.
