Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Paul “PK” Kemsley revealed in an emotional Instagram post that he has reached six months of sobriety. The post, shared on Father’s Day, highlighted the importance of his commitment to sobriety for the sake of his five children. Kemsley, 56, detailed his journey with a “Twelve Steps” graphic, expressing pride and gratitude for his progress, and wished a happy Father’s Day to other dedicated dads.

PK’s announcement of his sobriety milestone comes amid his separation from his wife, Dorit Kemsley, which they announced last month after nine years of marriage. The couple has openly addressed PK’s drinking issues on RHOBH, with Dorit explaining that his heavy drinking made clear-headed conversations difficult. PK’s decision to give up alcohol was a significant step in addressing these concerns.

During the RHOBH season finale, Dorit expressed doubts about PK’s ability to change and the implications for their relationship. She reflected on the past year, acknowledging that they have much work to do. Dorit’s comments underscored her struggle with PK’s behavior and her uncertainty about accepting the possibility that he might never change.

The Kemsleys, who married in March 2015, have two children together, Phoenix and Jagger. PK also has three children from his previous marriage, who were mentioned in his sobriety post but have not appeared on the reality show. Despite their separation announcement, they had previously denied rumors of spending time apart and emphasized their commitment to working through their issues for the sake of their family.

During the RHOBH reunion episode in March, Dorit admitted that their marital problems had worsened after filming ended. She candidly described their situation as “an all-time bad.” In response to their separation announcement on Instagram, Dorit bluntly stated, “S— happens,” acknowledging the challenges they face and the reality of their situation.
