On February 23, STARNEWS reported that Song Hye Kyo might be making a special appearance in the upcoming drama “All Your Wishes Come True” (literal title), marking her first such role since her debut. The actress travelled to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to film her cameo.

In response to the news, Song Hye Kyo’s agency UAA provided a brief statement, stating, “We cannot confirm.”

“All Your Wishes Come True” is a fantasy romantic comedy centred around an overly emotional genie confined within a lamp and the woman who aids him in breaking free. Kim Woo Bin is set to take on the role of the unpredictable genie, while Suzy will portray Ga Young, a human character devoid of emotion.

The drama is penned by the renowned writer Kim Eun Sook, known for creating successful series such as “Descendants of the Sun,” “The Glory,” “Goblin,” “Mister Sunshine,” and “Heirs” (which also featured Kim Woo Bin). Director Lee Byung Hun, known for his work on “Extreme Job” and “Melo Is My Nature,” will be at the helm.

Song Hye Kyo’s collaboration with writer Kim Eun Sook dates back to their joint work on the popular drama “Descendants of the Sun” in 2016. The actress starred in Kim Eun Sook’s latest Netflix hit, “The Glory,” in 2022. If the speculations are accurate, this would mark Song Hye Kyo’s first special appearance in 28 years since her debut.

In addition to the potential drama cameo, it was recently confirmed that Song Hye Kyo is set to lead the cast in the film “Dark Nuns” (literal translation), a spin-off of Kang Dong Won’s successful 2015 movie “The Priests.”

This marks her return to the big screen after a decade, with her last film being “My Brilliant Life” in 2014. The actress seems poised for a busy and promising phase in her career, captivating audiences both on television and in cinema.
