Sora’s Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyōshi Manga to Conclude in 5 Chapters

The latest news from Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine tells us that the manga Sora’s Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyōshi (Fallen High School Girl and Disabled Teacher) will finish its story in just five more chapters.

The manga’s creator, sora, began the series in Hana to Yume in July 2017. Originally planned as a short series, it grew into a longer story. The 19th compiled volume of the manga will be released by Hakusensha on April 19.

In April 2023, a live-action series based on the manga premiered. The creator of the manga, using the pen name sora, is Sora Mizuki. Mizuki began another manga titled The Story of Our Unlikely Love in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend magazine in 2017.

This series concluded with its second volume in 2018. Kodansha USA Publishing handles the English publication of this manga, having released both volumes. Mizuki is also the artist for A Reincarnated Witch Spells Doom, a manga written by Tail Yuzuhara.

This manga debuted on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker service in December 2018 and is still ongoing. Yen Press has licensed this manga for English release.

In the latest installment of the series, the 18th volume brings an unexpected turn. Mikoto, feeling unusually melancholic, bravely confesses to Haiba, posing the question of whether he would consider making her his real lover. This heartfelt inquiry leaves Haiba, and readers, pondering the true implications behind Mikoto’s words.

Plot

After a tough time confessing her feelings to her first love, high schooler Mikoto Ochiai finds herself on the school roof, thinking about jumping off. Suddenly, Jin Haiba, the laid-back physics teacher often joked about by students, arrives.

He calmly lights a cigarette and asks Mikoto to explain why she’s feeling this way. Instead of trying to change her mind, Jin surprises her with a unique proposalwill she be his girlfriend before deciding anything drastic? This unexpected request makes Mikoto pause. Together, they start to talk about what gives life meaning and whether they should really be together.

Mikoto, feeling lost and hurt after her failed confession, finds herself drawn to Jin’s calm presence. She’s surprised by his unconventional approach but decides to give it a chance.

As they spend more time together, Mikoto begins to see Jin in a different light. He’s not just the slacker teacher he’s someone who listens and understands her pain.
