Shibata Keisuke’s Sukiyanen Kedo Do Yaro Ka has put us all in our feels with its recent episodes. Played by Kan Hideyoshi, Matsumoto, the charismatic and attractive owner of a cozy small restaurant, possesses a talent for not only satisfying people’s appetites but also warming their hearts with his hospitality.

One day, he encounters Soga (Nishiyama Jun), a recently divorced office worker who has been transferred to Osaka for work. Despite the unexpected circumstances, Soga finds himself instantly smitten with Matsumoto upon their first meeting.

This unexpected attraction catches both of them off guard, setting the stage for a blossoming romance filled with intrigue and heartfelt moments as they navigate their newfound feelings for each other amidst the backdrop of Matsumoto’s charming restaurant.

After Soga’s confession last week, Matsumoto was surprised but ended up accepting the confession. They soon get into a relationship and start spending time at each other’s homes. Soga’s friend reminds him that he’s having to leave for Tokyo one day and that makes its necessary for him to get serious with Matsumoto soon.

Soga enjoys spending time with Matsumoto, especially when they have lunch together in the park. However, things take an unexpected turn when Matsumoto brings up Soga’s ex-wife during their conversation. Soga opens up about how he and his wife used to have lively discussions where they freely shared their ideas.

Impressed by this, Matsumoto suggests trying this approach to communication in their own relationship. He wants to ensure that Soga feels comfortable and included. Later, Soga meets a friend at the sauna who reassures him that Matsumoto really likes him, even if he doesn’t always seem cheerful.

Together, Soga and Matsumoto brainstorm how they’ll handle chores and rules while living together. Later on, Matsumoto has a hilarious nightmare involving Saeko-San talking about the “House of Reason.”
