Super Bowl LVIII Trailer Lineup: Who’s In, Who’s Out, and What to Expect from Hollywood’s Finest?

As the countdown to Super Bowl LVIII intensifies, the spotlight shifts to the highly anticipated movie trailers that traditionally debut during the event.

However, this year sees notable absentees among the studios splurging on Super Bowl ad slots. Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, Netflix, and Amazon are among the studios opting out of the big game this time, according to Variety.

Among the studios making an appearance are Paramount, Disney, and Universal, each set to showcase a diverse lineup. Paramount is expected to present teasers for “A Quiet Place: Day One,” “Bob Marley: One Love,” “IF,” “Halo,” and the Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff series, “Knuckles.”

Meanwhile, Disney aims to captivate audiences with previews of “Deadpool 3,” “Inside Out 2,” and “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.” Universal may treat viewers to glimpses of “Kung Fu Panda 4,” “The Fall Guy,” “Despicable Me 4,” or the upcoming summer release, “Twisters.”

Warner Bros. is notably absent from the Super Bowl ad roster, bypassing opportunities to showcase its impressive slate, including Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two,” MonsterVerse sequel “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” and George Miller’s Mad Max Saga prequel, “Furiosa.”

Sony, celebrating Columbia Pictures’ centennial, is also sitting out the Super Bowl but has a promising lineup featuring “Madame Web,” “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” “The Garfield Movie,” and “Bad Boys 4.”

Netflix, typically avoiding Super Bowl ad purchases, boasts an array of upcoming content, including Tyler Perry’s “Mea Culpa,” Adam Sandler’s “Spaceman,” Zack Snyder’s “Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver,” and Eddie Murphy’s “Beverly Hills Cop 4: Axel F.”

On the TV series front, Netflix promises Terminator and Lara Croft animes, Guy Ritchie’s “The Gentlemen,” and the much-anticipated “Squid Game” season 2.

As for Amazon, a departure from last year’s promotion of titles like “Air” and “Creed III,” the streaming giant is skipping Super Bowl ads for its offerings such as the new series “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” “Invincible” season 2 part two, Jake Gyllenhaal’s Road House remake, Zendaya’s tennis movie “Challengers,” Anne Hathaway’s romcom “The Idea of You,” and the action-comedy “Grand Death Lotto” starring John Cena and Simu Liu.

While some major players choose to remain on the sidelines, Super Bowl LVIII promises to be a showcase for those studios seizing the opportunity to captivate audiences with glimpses of their diverse and exciting content lineup.
