Kenjaku remains one of the most mysterious and wickedly evil characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. While he has possessed multiple people throughout history, very little is actually known about his true origins or end goals.
When Yuta Okkotsu destroyed the body of Special Grade Sorcerer Suguru Geto, Kenjaku was left without a physical host. Currently, no one, not even the powerful curses he allied himself with, knows his present location or what drives his nefarious plans.
However, there is speculation about one surprising figure who may have untangled Kenjaku’s schemes – Jin Itadori, Yuji Itadori’s father. This would connect Kenjaku’s unknown motivations all the way back to the beginning of the series.
Though it comes as a shock, the theory carries significance. It suggests Jin Itadori became aware of Kenjaku’s malevolent plot and his son Yuji’s role within it. This revelation, if true, would upend much of what we know about Kenjaku and his relationships with key figures in the JJK world.
Jin Itadori’s Secret Deal with Kenjaku Regarding Yuji’s Birth
Very little is known about Jin Itadori, the father of series protagonist Yuji Itadori, in Jujutsu Kaisen. However, a compelling fan theory suggests Jin may have been the only one aware of the full extent of Kenjaku’s master plan.
Prior to possessing Suguru Geto, Kenjaku had taken over the body of Kaori Itadori. Notably, Kaori died before she could conceive a child with Jin. Yet somehow after being possessed by Kenjaku, Yuji Itadori was born.
This has led to speculation that Yuji was part of an experimental plan by Kenjaku, which Jin knew about. The theory suggests Jin struck a deal allowing the possessed Kaori to bear a son, as he was desperate to have a child.
In exchange, Kenjaku would get to use the child for his mysterious schemes. Jin potentially turned a blind eye to Kenjaku’s evil motives in order to finally become a father.
This proposed backroom agreement between Jin and Kenjaku regarding Yuji’s birth would explain how both parties benefited. If true, it means Jin may be the only one fully aware of Kenjaku’s end goal of creating Yuji Itadori.
Kenjaku’s Experiments and Yuji’s Unnatural Abilities
Jin Itadori potentially knowing Kenjaku’s true agenda could explain several of the biggest mysteries in Jujutsu Kaisen. In the beginning, Jin’s son Yuji seems like an average teenager, albeit one with superhuman physical abilities far beyond normal people.
Fans speculate these strange powers were the result of experimental manipulation by Kenjaku, the notoriously evil sorcerer. Perhaps Yuji was modified at birth to create a powerful hybrid being, though details remain unclear.
We know Kenjaku has a history of twisted experiments trying to push the limits of jujutsu sorcery. This includes the horrifying Death Womb Paintings used to produce cursed objects.
So while Yuji wasn’t part of that specific plan, theorists believe Kenjaku’s schemes still shaped his unnaturally heightened talents.
If Jin Itadori learned of Kenjaku’s intentions while the villain possessed his wife Kaori, it would explain why Yuji was let loose with such dangerous potential. Jin perhaps compromised his own morals in exchange for a son, unwittingly releasing Kenjaku’s human weapon.
Jin Itadori’s Dark Bargain and Its Impact on Yuji’s Origins
Jin’s secret pact with Kenjaku could also explain other mysteries, like why Yuji’s brother Choso sensed a connection to him. Jin likely knew the disturbing truth about his son’s origins all along but accepted it to have the child he desperately longed for.
In fact, Yuji’s grandfather Wasuke had warned Jin that possessive Kaori was dangerous after sensing an evil presence within her. This was possibly detecting Kenjaku. However, Jin fatefully ignored this warning in pursuit of fatherhood.
Essentially, Jin may have stood by complicity, allowing Kenjaku’s grand scheme to unfold in exchange for conceiving Yuji Itadori. This fan theory suggests out of all the powerful jujutsu sorcerers, only Jin was aware of Kenjaku’s end goal for Yuji and the exact nature of the experiments done on him.
The dark bargain between Jin and Kenjaku, trading moral principles for family, could be the missing context that threads together many mysteries. Of course, until creator Gege Akutami reveals more, we can only speculate on this chilling idea.
