Shinji Ishihira, known for works like “Sasaki and Miyano,” “Super Lovers,” and “Fairy Tail,” is directing the anime at Studio DEEN. Yoshiko Nakamura, also from “Super Lovers” and “Sasaki and Miyano,” is handling the series scripts.

Mina Ōsawa, recognized for her work on “School Babysitters,” “Given,” and “I★CHU: Halfway Through The Idol,” is responsible for character design and serving as chief animation director.

MADKID is the musical artist behind the anime’s opening theme song, titled “Futatsu no Kotoba” (Two Words).

The anime is set to debut on the Tokyo MX channel on April 8 at 24:30 (effectively, April 9 at 12:30 a.m. or April 8 at 11:30 a.m. EDT).

Additionally, it will be broadcasted on MBS, BS NTV, and Animax. Crunchyroll will also be streaming the anime for viewers.

The manga follows the everyday life of Masaki Fujiyoshi, who stays at home and lacks self-confidence, his husband Hiromu, who is an elite salaryman, and their two-year-old son Hikari.

They go through good times and bad times together, getting closer every day and feeling more like a real family.

The manga started in Fusion Product’s THE OMEGAVERSE PROJECT e-book anthology back in 2016. Fusion Product released the fourth volume, titled “Tadaima, Okaeri Hitoyasumi” (I’m Home, Welcome Back Breather), in April 2019.

Alongside the announcement of the anime adaptation, Ichikawa also revealed that the manga would resume serialization and that a fifth volume would be coming out soon.
