Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are making the most of her break from the Eras Tour, and their close friends are already thinking about the couple’s future together.
“They’re so in love,” adding that their friends are hopeful an engagement is on the horizon.
Swift, 34, is currently focusing on what she wants to do after the tour ends, according to the insider. The Grammy winner took a two-month break starting in August but will resume the final leg of her tour in October, finishing in December.
“She’s trying to ensure she has some downtime first and hasn’t made any firm decisions yet,” the source explains, noting that Swift plans to spend plenty of time with Kelce before heading back on tour.
Swift, who has been on tour since March 2023 with occasional breaks, is looking forward to a return to normalcy during her time off.
“She’s been on an intense ride with the tour, and now she’s really focused on getting back to a more balanced life in the coming months,” the insider adds.
Meanwhile, Kelce, 34, joined Swift on tour throughout the summer as she traveled across Europe. The NFL star even made an appearance on stage at one of her shows in June at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Kelce returned to Kansas City Chiefs training camp in July to prepare for the 2024 football season, which kicks off on September 5.
However, before his return, the couple enjoyed one last celebration together at Swift’s Rhode Island mansion in late August.
On August 24, Swift and Kelce were spotted outside her residence with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, his pregnant wife Brittany Mahomes, Travis’ brother Jason Kelce, his wife Kylie Kelce, and their three daughters.
Also present were some of Swift’s famous friends, including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Gigi Hadid, and Bradley Cooper, enjoying the gathering.
“It was grounding for her to catch up with friends and family,” a source told *Us Weekly* about the gathering. “She’s been so busy and disconnected, so this was a chance to spend quality time with everyone.”
The weekend marked the first time Swift was seen publicly with Kelce since his departure for training camp a month earlier. “She was thrilled to reunite with him and just spend time together,” the insider said.
Swift and Kelce have been dating since the summer of 2023, going public with their relationship that fall when Swift began attending Kelce’s NFL games to cheer him on from the stands.
Ahead of his first game of the season, Kelce shared his appreciation for Swift’s interest in his career.
“She’s been so open to learning the game,” Kelce revealed during the September 3 episode of *The Rich Eisen Show*. “She didn’t know much about the rules, but she’s been eager to learn.”
In fact, Swift has even designed a few plays for Kelce’s team, although only he has seen them.
“None of the plays have reached coach [Andy] Reid yet, but if they do, I’ll make sure everyone knows they were her idea,” Kelce joked.
