The Fable Season 1 Episode 3 Recap
In Episode 3 of “The Fable” Season 1, the story continues with Takeshi talking on the phone with Takahashi. Takahashi tells him about recent events involving Fable but assures him that Yoko is safe.
Takeshi then meets with Matsu, a dealer who sells weapons illegally, and buys some .38 caliber bullets. They talk a bit about their business and joke about keeping their shady environment stable.
Later, Takeshi tests his gun by firing it into the air, which worries his assistant. He tells his assistant to keep an eye out for cameras and enemies while driving.
Meanwhile, Fable is at home watching his favorite comedian, Jackal, on TV. He gets some confusing texts from his boss, so he asks Yoko to help him understand them. Yoko explains that their boss wants them to get pets.

At this moment, Fable spots a suspicious man linked to Takahashi and decides to follow him. While Yoko stays at the pet store, Fable tries to confront the suspicious man, triggering a pursuit by Takahashi’s allies, including a kickboxer.
After a series of chases, Fable manages to escape by jumping off a bridge and reuniting with Yoko. She decides to get a hamster, and Fable chooses the bird, despite its high cost, because he feels a connection to it.
Back at Fable’s place, Yoko shares details about how to take care of the parrot, including its diet and how long it can live. She tells Fable to think of a name for the bird, and he calls it Captain.
Meanwhile, Takahashi talks to Takeshi about his feelings for Yoko. Takeshi offers Takahashi money to find out more about Fable from Yoko. The episode also shows some funny moments, like when Captain, the Parrot, makes a mess on Fable’s head.
Yoko gets closer to her hamster, and Takahashi watches her from a distance, worried about how to approach her romantically. Later, Takeshi reminds Fable about the rules of the house and asks him to meet privately.
