Dubai MICHELIN Guide 2024 Celebrates Culinary Excellence with New Stars and Bib Gourmands

The MICHELIN Guide Dubai 2024 was celebrated at the One&Only One Za’abeel hotel, revealing a selection of 106 outstanding restaurants across 35 different cuisines. This year’s guide introduces impressive new additions: four restaurants awarded one MICHELIN Star, a new two MICHELIN Stars restaurant, and 6 new Bib Gourmands, solidifying Dubai’s reputation as a global culinary destination.

At the forefront of the accolades is Row on 45, the debutant restaurant by British chef Jason Atherton, which immediately secured two MICHELIN Stars. Located on the 45th floor of The Grosvenor House, Row on 45 offers an intimate dining experience with a tasting menu that marries Japanese ingredients and French culinary techniques.

Among the new one MICHELIN Star recipients is La Dame de Pic, showcasing modern French cuisine with a touch of local influence by renowned chef Anne-Sophie Pic. Similarly, Smoked Room by Chef Dani García and Sagetsu by Tetsuya Wakuda blend international flavors with creative flair, earning their inaugural MICHELIN Stars.

Orfali Bros, known for its globally-inspired small plates, received its first MICHELIN Star after previously holding a Bib Gourmand, reflecting its growth and popularity in Dubai’s dining scene.

In addition, six new Bib Gourmands were recognized for offering exceptional value and quality. These include DUO Gastrobar, Revelry, Berenjak, Hoe Lee Kow, REIF Japanese Kushiyaki, and Konjiki Hototogisu, each contributing to the city’s diverse gastronomic landscape.

The guide also honored outstanding individuals in the hospitality industry: Jesus Lobato Suaraz received the Young Chef Award for his leadership at Smoked Room, while Michael Mpofu was named Sommelier of the Year for his expertise at Celebrities by Mauro Colagreco. The Service Award went to the team at DuangDy by BO.LAN for their exceptional Thai hospitality.

The Opening of the Year award was presented to The Guild, a multifaceted venue at ICD Brookfield offering diverse dining options from coffee shops to fine restaurants, adding vibrancy to Dubai’s culinary scene.

The MICHELIN Guide Dubai 2024 features 4 restaurants with two MICHELIN Stars, 15 with one MICHELIN Star, and 18 Bib Gourmand awardees. The comprehensive selection underscores Dubai’s evolving culinary excellence, catering not only to international travelers but also attracting talented chefs and food enthusiasts from around the globe.
